We’re a small, family-run specialty coffee roastery in Palmyra, Virginia, in Fluvanna County. We roast every few days and fill your bag from the current batch, never more than a few days old, rather than shipping bags that have been sitting on a shelf. We serve customers all over central Virginia, and we ship anywhere in the continental United States.
Where We Are
We roast in Palmyra, Virginia 22963, in Fluvanna County — about 8 minutes off I-64, sitting between the Zion Crossroads exit and the Louisa/Ferncliff exit, roughly halfway between Charlottesville and Richmond.
That last part matters more than it sounds. If you drive I-64 between Richmond and Charlottesville — for work, for the university, for the airport — you already pass within a few minutes of us. Picking up your coffee isn’t a special trip out into the county. It’s an eight-minute detour off an exit you were taking anyway.

Outside these areas we ship fresh-roasted coffee anywhere in the continental United States, free on orders of $50 or more.
Can I Pick Up My Coffee Locally?
Yes, and you skip the shipping fee entirely. Place your order on the site, then call or text 530-227-0864 to arrange a time — or reach out first if you’d rather talk through what to order before you buy it.
Can I Get Coffee the Same Day?
Often, yes. We can sometimes roast a fresh bag and have it ready the same day. Text 530-227-0864 and start your message with “Rush Makin’ Smiles Coffee.” We’ll do it whenever we can, though we can’t promise it every day.
Wholesale for Local Businesses
Being down the road from you is the whole advantage: local wholesale customers get shorter lead times and fresher coffee than a national supplier can physically manage, because we’re not shipping it across the country to reach you.
