Who We Are

Information We Collect
When you place an order
Your name, billing and shipping address, email, phone number, and payment details. Payment is processed by Stripe — we don’t see or store your full card number ourselves.
When you create an account
We store your name, address, email, and phone number so future checkouts are faster. You can view, update, or delete this information from your account at any time.
When you subscribe to a coffee
For recurring orders, we keep the same order information above on file so each shipment can go out on schedule, and Stripe securely processes each renewal payment. You can pause, change, or cancel a subscription any time from your account — no call or email required.
When you contact us
Through our Contact page or the wholesale inquiry form, we collect whatever you share with us — typically your name, email, and the details of your message — so we can respond.
When you sign up for our email list
Just your email address, used to send the coffee news and blog updates you signed up for. No spam, and you can unsubscribe any time.
When you leave a product review
Reviews are limited to verified buyers. Your name and review text are stored and shown publicly on the product page.
Automatically, as you browse
Like most websites, we automatically collect your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. We use cookies to keep your cart contents intact as you browse and to help estimate shipping and tax before you check out.

Cookies
We use cookies to keep your shopping cart working as you move between pages, and a couple of standard login/session cookies if you have an account. We don’t use any third-party advertising or analytics tracking beyond the basic site statistics built into Jetpack.
Who We Share Information With
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it with anyone for their own marketing. We do share what’s needed to run the store with:
Stripe, to process payments — see Stripe’s privacy policy.
Google, in two separate ways:
- Product listings: our product catalog — names, images, prices, and availability — through Google Merchant Center, to run our Google Shopping listings. This doesn’t include any of your personal information.
- Purchase tracking: when you complete an order, we let Google know a purchase happened and its value, so we can measure how well our Google ads are working. “Enhanced Conversions” — a feature that would additionally send Google a scrambled (hashed) version of your email or phone number — is turned off, confirmed directly in our Google for WooCommerce settings, so no customer contact information is included in this.

How Long We Keep It
We keep order and tax records for up to 10 years.
Reviews and comments are kept indefinitely unless you ask us to remove them.
Your Choices
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails any time, using the link in the email or by contacting us directly.
- Ask what personal information we have on you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — email orders@makinsmilescoffee.com or use our Contact page. We’ll honor this except where we’re required to keep something for tax, accounting, or legal reasons.
Children’s Privacy
Our site isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
Security
Our site uses HTTPS encryption. Payment information is handled directly by Stripe on their PCI-compliant systems — we never store your full card number on our own servers. Access to customer information is limited to our own team members who need it to fulfill orders and help you.
Changes to This Policy
If anything about how we collect or use your information changes, we’ll update this page and the effective date above.
